Rafael de Andres Medina, President of the AAL Association

Rafael de Andres Medina is Chief Officer of the Department of International Research Programmes at the National Institute of Health Carlos III, in Spain. His interests range from Health (4P: predictive, preventive, personalized, participate), wellbeing and social inclusiveness to research & innovation policy. Currently, he chairs the Assembly of [country] Members of ECRIN-ERIC and his portfolio encompasses; translational research and planning of European Research Infrastructures (ESFRI-Health and Food Strategic Working Group). Also, he is the Spanish representative of IRDiRC (International Rare Diseases Research Consortium), GloPID-R (Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R), EDCTP (European Development Clinical Trials Partnership) and the Joint Programming Initiatives in Neurodegenerative Diseases (JPND), Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life (JPI HDHL), More Years Better Life (JPI MYBL) and Antimicrobial Resistance (JPI AMR).
