Poster deadline: 1 week!

Poster deadline: 1 week!

This is your final call for poster submissions. You have until the 17 August to submit your idea for a poster.

Having your poster presented at this year’s AAL Forum is an opportunity you cannot miss. The forum is one of the largest events in the field of technology for active and healthy ageing and your poster will play an important role in driving the EU discussion on the future of digital transformation in the ageing population.

Your poster will be grouped under one of three categories:

  • Life after AAL – Ensuring AAL solutions getting to the market
  • Business to consumer market: The silver economy dimension
  • AAL-related eco-systems

This is a great opportunity to present complex research concepts in an easily digestible format, as well as sharing significant developments and advances concisely.

As a poster author you will also reap the benefits of the AAL Forum 2018, with the chance to attend a host of workshops, networking events as well as the exhibition hall.

Please remember this deadline is not for your final poster. Submit your initial poster plans and ideas by the 17 August. You will then receive guidance on how to submit your final poster. Your poster will be presented in digital form.

Digital posters in a digital world

Your poster at the AAL Forum 2018 will be presented digitally, an extremely exciting format that will give you the chance to showcase your project or product in the most engaging way. Digital posters, or e-posters, are now very popular at conferences and have been used at the AAL Forum in previous years, too.

It seems fitting that, at a forum that promotes some of the newest technological innovation in the field of healthy ageing, the research, service or product you are presenting should be as dynamic as possible – and a digital poster gives you that opportunity.

Digital posters give you lot more freedom to be creative, eye-catching and memorable and can facilitate learning and interaction far beyond the presentation you give on the day.

Whilst you are enjoying what the AAL Forum has to offer, and long after the forum ends, your poster will be downloadable and available online and will be included in the post-event executive summary as a link. This will be sent to all stakeholders involved in active and assisted living worldwide, helping to facilitate discussion about your work both at the forum and around the world.

So get designing your digital poster for the AAL Forum 2018 and you could benefit from timely and elaborated feedback from academics, researchers, designers and industry experts on your work.
