FHS St.Gallen
FHS St.Gallen provides new ideas for social, economic and technological development in Eastern Switzerland. Innovation, quality and dynamism shape the university, elevating it to an outstanding position in the Swiss education landscape. It is an interdisciplinary university of applied sciences with a strong focus on practice and application. Around 3,300 students are currently enrolled in the Health, Social Work, Technical Science and Business Administration departments, as well as in executive education courses. The university oversees seven research and consulting institutes and is actively involved in the national and international knowledge community.
Competence Centre AAL
The Competence Centre Active and Assisted Living (AAL) focuses on technical products and services that contribute positively to the quality of life of older adults. The purpose is for people to live independently and with better quality of life in their own homes for as long as possible. Relevant topics include safety, mobility and technology, as well as medicine. The Competence Centre AAL is looking for customer solutions that address the needs of older adults. The solutions are derived in an interdisciplinary manner with various partners. Engagement includes consulting, application-oriented R&D projects, public conferences, service projects and education services.
Congress Events St.Gallen
CongressEvents St.Gallen, a department of the Cooperative Society Olma Messen St.Gallen, organises around 100 events every year with resounding success. The high success rate is due to modern, versatile facilities at a central location as well as the professional, highly motivated personnel. The Olma Messen St.Gallen organises several public fairs and trade fairs and is among the biggest conference and events locations in Switzerland. The OLMA Fair in autumn is the most popular public exhibition with around 400,000 visitors every year.
