Matchmaking - AAL Forum

This AAL Forum 2017 will feature a matchmaking event which helps organise informal meetings between participants. The event brings together potential business and cooperation partners to talk about their work and strike up real collaborations across borders.

How to take part

This year’s matchmaking will be coordinated through the AAL app, which can be downloaded through the iTunes App Store for iPhone or on Play Store for Android.

Once you’ve downloaded the app, prepare your profile and make it available in the “Matchmaking” area by entering your code of registration or email address.

You will then be able to check other delegates’ profiles and see who is available to meet. You can chat with people using the app before arranging a meeting.

Once you decide you want to arrange a meeting with someone, you can schedule a meeting with them on the app. There will be a room dedicated for these meetings.

The research and innovation department is active in national and international projects with their main work orientated around the needs of patients and vulnerable people. Georg’s main areas of expertise lie in health care technologies and social interaction systems for vulnerable groups.
Joao Guerreiro	University of Algarve – School of Health	University	Joao is a professor in the Prosthetics & Orthotics Department at the university, which has research groups in the fields of engineering and health that work toward promoting solutions for better active ageing. Joao has experience in several areas of prosthetics, spine braces, lower extremity orthotics and wheelchairs and has a great interest in the areas of mobility and assistive technology innovation.

Stefan is involved in several other international projects and has several years of international professional experience in strategic management consulting, market research and international business promotion.
Artur Serrano	Norwegian Technical and Natural Sciences University	University	NTNU is responsible for higher education in technology in Norway and is the country’s top institution for the education of engineers. The Welfare Technology area at NTNU is looking at: Dementia Care Continuous Care, social robots, technology aided treatment and prevention.
Jonathan Gomez-Raja	FundeSalud, Regional Ministry of Health and Social Policies Government of Extremadura	Government	Jonathan is head of RDI at FundeSalud which manages research and training programmes at the Regional Healthcare (SES) and Dependency/Sociosantiary System (SEPAD). FundeSalud also works with the University of Extremadura and other public/private research centres. Jonathan’s principle aim is to promote research, innovation and internationalisation in the public and social system in the autonomous region of Extremadura.

INOVA+ works in the areas of start-ups, growth, and expansion of innovation technologies. Carla has an extensive CV in computer science and project management.

INOVA+ works in the areas of start-ups, growth, and expansion of innovation technologies. Marco has a degree and experience in project management, leading and participating in various European IT projects.

Oscar Zanutto	ISRAA	End user	Oscar is the chief of ISRAA’s European Project Office, an Italian public elderly care provider covering the needs of nursing homes for the physically and psychologically impaired, and care homes for dementia suffers. Oscar is a psychologist and manager of several EU projects/topics including: VR use in rehabilitation, community-based ICT intervention, and behavioural change training models.
Dawid Krysinski	ASM	SME	Dawid is junior project manager at ASM, a private R&D centre that specialises in socio-economic research and market and business analysis, covering 40 EU funded projects and two AAL projects. Dawid focuses on the preparation of market and social analysis, exploitation plans, IPR strategies and business models in the areas of energy efficiency and active ageing in the EU.
Hakan Isaksson	HTS Group	SME	HTS Group is a private limited company in the assistive technology business and has an agent and dealer for international brands, an international retail network, and is exploitation partner in the wearable technology project AXO-SUIT. The wearable robotics will support people to live a comfortable life.

SME	Cibrán the project manager of the R&D department at Imatia Innovation, which focuses on creating technologies that improve productivity when developing software applications. Cibrán’s work comprises of applying artificial intelligence, eHealth and mobile technologies for connected cars.

He is also a technical lead and software architect on one of the R&D teams at Oamk which develops a concept of Smart Living, a concept of building people-orientated lifestyles supported by smart environment and smart spaces.
Alexey Andrushevich	iHomeLab	R&D	iHomeLab is the Swiss think tank and research lab for building intelligence. The project provides support to informal carers in terms of their comprehensive training towards improving care-related skills and alleviating their psychological burden through structured training, experience sharing with formal carers, programmes for continuous support.
Marcus Borrmann	FH JOANNEUM GmbH University of Applied Sciences	University	Marcus is researcher and scientific assistant in the universities health department. The leading university in applied sciences offers nearly 50 programmes in the areas of engineering, health studies, management and building, energy and society. Marcus is working on I-SHARE which looks at integrative strategies for healthy ageing regions for the successful deployment of AAL technologies.
Paul Panek	Vienna University of Technology	University	Members of the faculty come from backgrounds that include computer science, engineering, psychology, design, medical informatics, assistive technology and ethics. Their research draws on research from these areas, combined with participatory user engagement, to make practical and theoretical contributions to the human-centred design of technologies that enhance interactive experiences and quality of life.
Daniel Bieber	Institute for Social Research and Social Economics in Saarbrücken	R&D	Daniel is a teaching professor and as the managing and scientific director at the institution which has experience in the field of care, organisational, technological and institutional changes in the working environment, their effects on society, and future technologies. Daniel’s research focuses on: non-technical success factors of technical innovation, and innovative services.
Liselore Snaphaan	GGzE	End user	GGzE is one of the largest mental healthcare organisation in southern Netherlands. They provide healthcare in all psychiatric work fields and also have an innovation lab and three research programs. Liselore is interested in how to help the elderly stay happy at home for longer and is looking for partners to explore innovative ideas, develop products, and marketable innovations.
Jasskko Hallila	Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences	University	Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences specialises in well-being technology and is looking for project ideas that include this technology or well-being at work, as well as robotics. They are currently building a simulation centre for well-being technology. Jasskko has participated in several transnational eHealth projects and was lead partner for DG Connect.
Monica Florea	SIVECO Romania	Large industry	Monica is the head of the European Projects Department and leads SIVECO, a private company that provides software solutions in eLearning, eHealth, eAgriculture, and eGov fields implementing turnkey projects. SIVECO is on the most successful software integrators from central and eastern Europe with experience in many R&D projects in AAL and Horizon 2020.
Paulo Menezes	Instituto de Sistemas e Robótica - Coimbra	R&D	Paulo is associated with the Active Perception Team of ISR – UC, which promotes advanced multidisciplinary R&D in the areas not inclusive of mobile autonomous robotics, intelligent transportation systems, search and rescue robotics, computer vision, medical robotics, biomedical engineering, intelligent energy systems.
